To Product Care Paint members who do business in New Brunswick.

New Brunswick has just passed regulations establishing a new multi-material stewardship board in New Brunswick, and designating paint products for product stewardship. See the regulation here:   http://www.recyclenb.com/eng/ehome.html   If you are a paint brandowner in New Brunswick you have two obligations:

  • to register with the Recycle New Brunswick board by May 31, 2008 (using the attached registration form).
  • to submit a paint stewardship program to Recycle New Brunswick by July 31, 2008 (the actual start date of any approved program will be set by Recycle New Brunswick).

Product Care is developing a paint stewardship program for New Brunswick on behalf of its members, and will complete the filing of the plan within the 90 day period, and notify you.  For more information see Product Care's recent newsletter: http://www.productcare.org/documents/ProductCareTheCircular12.pdf.

In the attached registration form we have entered "Product Care" as the "agent" in the form.  By completing the form and submitting it to Recycle New Brunswick you will appoint Product Care as your agent to satisfy the requirement of filing a stewardship plan.  Blank versions of these documents are also being mailed to you by Recycle New Brunswick.

If possible, please notify us when you have made your registration, and provide us a copy of the registration form (by email to mark@productcare.org or by fax 604-592-2982).

If you have any questions please contact Mark Kurschner, mark@productcare.org
