You are invited to attend a public consultation webinar on December 8, 2015. The meeting materials for the webinar are available as a PDF, here: BC LightRecycle Public Consultation 2014
In addition to participating in the webinar, you are invited to submit comments in writing prior to February 6, 2015.
Background:
BC LightRecycle began in 2010, accepting residential-use fluorescent lights at collection sites across the province. On October 1, 2012, the Program expanded and currently accepts all lighting products for recycling without charge, including all types of lights (bulbs and tubes), ballasts and lighting fixtures used in residential, institutional, commercial and industrial applications.
The 2012 Plan includes several performance based targets for which reference data was available at the time the Plan was developed, such as collection rate targets for fluorescent tubes and compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs), as well as a commitment to establish and submit additional collection rate/accessibility targets for other lamps and fixtures in 2014.
Product Care/ReGeneration will be holding a public consultation webinar to discuss proposed targets for collection rate and collection site accessibility targets not already specified in the 2012 Plan.
