Municipalities unable to return the Product Care-Municipal ISP Materials Services Agreement before June 30 will still receive uninterrupted depot collection service, and will be paid retroactively to June 30 for other services, as follows:
- Depot Hourly Rate- Product Care will pay the municipality the paint component (75.9%) of the MHSW hourly rate, currently paid by SO to the municipality. SO will continue to pay the balance of the hourly rate.
- Aerosols commingled lab pack –Product Care and SO have agreed that, for convenience, Product Care will pay the municipality based on the lab pack factors for paint (expanded Product Care definition) and other MHSW aerosols. This claim will be submitted by the municipality through Product Care’s Service Partner claims portal
- Event day claims –Product Care will pay the municipality at the same rate per tonne which currently apply in the MHSW program. Claims are submitted through Product Care’s Service Partners claims portal
Product Care has committed to pay the paint service providers under the Municipal Depot Transportation & Processing Incentive Program (MDT&PIP) system starting June 30, 2015 for all municipalities, even if the Product Care-Municipal ISP services agreement is not yet finalized.
