Product Care’s Board of Directors has approved a reduction in environmental handling fee (EHF) rates for pesticide products in the BC HHW program as a result of lower program costs.
Based on the analysis of program revenue and expenses, the fee rate will be reduced only for one category, which represents 88% of the units reported.
Effective April 1, 2021, the EHF rate for BC pesticide container size category of 0.01 and 0.89 L or kg will be reduced from $1.85 to $0.80. The other fee categories will not change.
BC Pesticide members should adjust their internal systems to reflect this fee change which will apply effective April 1, 2021. When reporting sales to Product Care, the fee change will automatically be reflected in your reporting statement for sales made after April 1, 2021.
