Product Care Recycling has developed and launched a program for Non-Refillable Pressurized Fuel Containers in Québec on June 30, 2024.
Consumers will be able to drop off Non-Refillable Pressurized Fuel Containers (such as propane, butane, isobutane or MAP) for free at recycling locations across Québec for safe and responsible management.
Accepted Products:
Non-Refillable Pressurized Fuel Containers
Non-refillable fuel pressurized containers, regardless of its use (home, camping, or work). Fuel types include, but are not limited to the examples below:
- Butane
- Isobutane
- Propane
- MAP (methylacetylene-propadiene propane)
Non-refillable fuel pressurized container types include the examples below:
- Cylinders
- Cartridges
- Canisters
Not Accepted Products:
Non-fuel pressurized cylinders, containers, cartridges, canisters, or aerosols. For example:
- Lighters
- Fire starters
- Helium tanks
- Refrigerants
- Oxygen cylinders
- Refillable cylinders such as BBQ tanks
- Accessories
