How are Product Care’s or Municipal obligated portion of the commingled lab packs determined?

The portions, or lab pack factors, of aerosol, pesticide, solvent and fertilizer lab packs are determined by an agreed upon lab pack study methodology. The purpose of lab pack studies is to determine the lab pack factors for the following year and is conducted by a third party. The lab pack factor determines the proportional share of weight and cost for managing commingled materials between the Municipalities and Product Care.
